Other ways to help

There are always other ways to help if you are not ready to give blood, by fundraising or volunteering.

Kuluka does not have a big organisation to support so your contributions go directly to where they are needed. Please contact us if you’d like to be a volunteer or if you would like more information about Kuluka.

Plan to run a marathon? climb a mountain? ride a bike? Why not fund-raise for us and get involved. Visit our Virgin Money Giving page to set up your fund-raising page and be part of a stitch in time.

What can you do?

Your donation is very valuable to us, and would go towards helping us increase awareness and education of the importance of blood donation in Malawi. The money you give us will help our volunteers to run even more blood drives and motivational talks as well as provide promotional material and media to increase blood donation in Malawi. Your support will also help us to develop other projects in the future.

Our Past Projects

Supporting district hospitals

Kuluka also has worked on projects to support district hospitals in Malawi with a variety of medical consumables. These consumables have made it possible for Malawian Doctors in the supported hospitals to provide better treatment to their patients. Most importantly these projects have had a significant impact in saving Malawian lives and keeping families together.

Community and social projects

Kuluka has also worked on projects that support social and community development in Malawi, primarily by forming partnerships with organisations or groups with an objective that benefits communities in Malawi.

Kuluka has supported the development of the Yewo Womens Group in the production of hand-made natural soaps. These soaps are made using locally sourced and grown ingredients (aloe vera, geranium essential oils, and palm oil). Kuluka has helped develop the Yewo Soap project by providing tools for soap production. Yewo soap is currently on sale in Malawi.
